My friend, Queen Dani, has challenged us to find a favorite childhood picture and dedicate a song to that child. Here's mine:

And here is the song that is Dedicated to the One I Love -- Peggy Seeger's "I'm Gonna Be An Engineer." Ironically, I went ahead and chose to be a career Mom -- but it was a choice!!! And I like to think that I've done it in ways that have broken down the walls of the box I was supposed to live in.

St. Patrick's Day Romp

Dan & Crystal and the girls came for dinner on St. Patrick's Day, and the girls had a blast playing with Grandpa on the exercise equipment.

The non-motorized treadmill takes a pretty good push to get going. When you weigh less than 30 pounds, getting started requires the use of a simple machine. Chey demonstrates how to kick the flywheel and get the belt moving.

Rock-A-Thon!

Ivy and her basketball teammates gave our old rocking chair a new lease on life and entered a team in the Eyer Middle School Rock-A-Thon. Originally planned to benefit the American Cancer Society, the students decided instead to donate their funds to the family of Mr. Kevin Bender, one of their teachers, who died of leukemia during the planning of the event.
